Lose Weight, not Your Mind


How many calories does that light cheese, turkey sandwich have? Can I get that with a diet soda? Oh my word, is this scale right?

Do you feel like you're eating the right things, but just not getting anywhere? So do many Americans today. I'd like to give you a couple of good tips for eating, and then encourage you to check out the link at the end for a healthy body and lifestyle.

Have your cake and eat it too!

That's right, you can have that piece of cake, pie, or bowl of ice cream. Just not everyday. Many people think that to have better eating habits, they need to get rid of these things completely. That's just not true. A great way to motivate yourself to eat well, is to plan one day a week where you'll reward yourself with a treat like cake or ice cream. So go ahead, open that pint of ice cream and read on – the better eating lifestyle can start tomorrow.

Plan meals and snacks!

One thing my wife and I do is choose one day a week where we make 3 or 4 meals for the upcoming week, then put them in the fridge or freezer. We are busy just like you and if we're not careful we end up picking up fast food bean burritos more than we'd like to admit. So plan ahead and take some extra time, you'll be grateful for it. As far as snacks, realize that if you buy the healthier stuff at the grocery store, you'll have NO chance of eating unhealthy stuff at home. Plan to win, by the way you shop.
